Koh Lipe is slowly evolving to an all year destination with daily ferries from Pak Barra.

Pak Barra is the main hub for ferries and speedboats to Koh Lipe. Since 2008 there are 2 daily connections all year. From November until May up to 8 boats go back and forth between Koh Lipe and Pak Barra.

From November until May ferries connect Koh Lipe to several islands in the Andaman Sea.

Over the last few years several routes have been added and Koh Lipe is now connected to several islands in the Andaman Sea. From November unti May is is possible to travel from Koh Lipe to Phuket, withouth ever setting foot on the mainland.

There is no pier on Koh Lipe

Local Chao Ley (Sea Gypsies) will come with their longtail boats to pick you up from the ferry. They will take you to any beach on the island for 50 BHT (not included in your ferry ticket!). State clearly to what beach or resort you want to go before entering one of the boats. People tend to be grouped by destination.
